Driving - Yamba can be reached by driving approx 260km from Brisbane airport which presently takes about 3.5 hours to drive. The new highway which will open in December 2008 should cut the driving to an estimated 2.5 hrs. You follow the Highway towards the Gold coast and head for Ballina, Yamba is about another 1hours drive.

From Sydney the drive is around 600km, about 7 hours following local speed limits – follow the Pacific Highway past Grafton some 70-80kms and turn off at Maclean/Yamba

Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) will be expanding to take flights from Asia and Europe - expected within the next 3 years. this will improve driving times to Yamba for international visitors by some 1 and a 1/4 hours
